“I have always been rather sceptical about going to see a chiropractor because I always wondered if there really was any benefit to be gained from what they practice…… Well I can certainly tell you that there is!! And further more each session for me has been worth every penny that I have spent. Initially I booked an appointment after the Oxford Street Therapy centre was recommended to me by two of my work colleagues. It was very easy to book an appointment at a time that fitted in with my working hours. I had been suffering from back pain for a few weeks and had been taking painkillers for that duration. I do not like taking them for prolonged periods of time and felt that there must be an alternative treatment I could try. On my first visit to Lianne. which was 90 minutes, this included a consultation and therapy. I really felt at ease shortly after I arrived due to he fact that Lianne is a very warm and friendly person with a genuine interest in you as a person and the reasons for your visit. She gave me a thorough examination of my spine and pelvis and knew straight away that things were not as they should have been and gave me the appropriate treatment which uses springing movements to realign the bones which are out of place. At first I though that it seemed too gentle ( I thought that I should be hearing the sound of my bones cracking for it to be doing me any good!!) and wondered how this could possibly work, but was determined to try it as I didn’t know what the alternative was. An hour after this visit I felt very different to what I had felt going in to the session, not only physically but also mentally because I felt that the experience as a whole had really helped me as I feel that your physical and mental well being are very strongly connected. I have now had five sessions and each time I have been I feel really great by the time the session is over. My back is now more mobile and without any pain, and because of the job I do as a receptionist, I experience quite a bit of tightness in my neck and shoulders which Lianne has very mindfully worked on in our last 2 or 3 sessions and physically this has helped me enormously during going about my everyday activities at work and at home and mentally it has made me much more mindful of my approach to a task and how I tackle it. Lianne also gives advice and exercises that you can do in between visits which is great and they really work!! I would not hesitate to recommend Lianne to anyone who is looking for an alternative way to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing. It has certainly worked for me and I will continue to go to regular sessions just to keep things in check and to make sure my bones are where they should be!
