Kinesiology is a holistic therapy developed from a blend of different techniques such as Chiropractic, Naturopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It involves gentle muscle testing to identify and correct imbalances whether they are structural, biochemical, emotional or electrical (or a combination).
Kinesiology involves working on the body (fully clothed) identifying and supporting physical imbalances such as hormonal or digestive, or more subtle imbalances in the meridians and chakras. The muscle testing can identify food intolerances and supportive natural remedies.
The principle is that energy imbalances will eventually be reflected in the mind and/ or body. Kinesiology helps identify those imbalances and then determines the most appropriate way to address them, drawing on a number of different healing techniques.
It’s good to have a chat on the ‘phone or via email to determine what your health goals are. If you’d like to go ahead, I’ll send a questionnaire for you to complete which we will use during the initial session. We can either work specifically on symptoms you identify, or can ‘investigate’ with kinesiology testing to determine imbalances.
I will explain and demonstrate muscle testing and we’ll agree on the goal/s for the session.
The treatment involves a variety of techniques including tapping and holding specific points, using flower remedies, identifying and supporting emotional imbalance and dietary and lifestyle suggestions. If the testing suggests a biochemical imbalance, I may recommend supplements or herbal remedies to support healing, and these would be an additional cost.
Whilst some positive benefits are usually seen after one session, it can take time to recover health and you can determine how long you’d like to use kinesiology depending on your progress.
You don’t have to be unwell to benefit - some people use kinesiology as a preventative treatment and book a single session occasionally to identify and correct imbalance.
Who can benefit?
Kinesiology is a very gentle therapy, suitable for adults and children. Physical symptoms can be addressed, along with energy levels and negative thinking or behaviour patterns. When symptoms are many and varied, kinesiology can help to ‘unravel’ the picture.
One hour appointment £45 (if kinesiology testing suggests natural remedies would be helpful, this would be an extra cost)
