Shirley trained in a variety of complementary therapies starting in 2011. She has always had an interest in helping people with their health and after studying to be a medical doctor realised that stress was a major cause of imbalance within the body.
Shirley started off as a scientist with a keen interest in human physiology, genetics and mechanisms of disease within the human body. After receiving her degree and obtaining a PhD she went onto set up and run a laboratory that was involved in cancer research.
Shirley has over 10 years experience and a wealth of knowledge and skills, she is always studying and adding to the therapies and techniques she offers. This makes Shirley unique as she can easily adapt her treatments to fit with your needs.
Shirley is a member of CThA and FHT and is on the accredited voluntary register with the FHT, she is also CNHC registered.
Shirley takes a holistic approach and will work with you to tailor the treatments to meet your individual needs, whether it’s to provide relief from pain, tension, stress, or simply make you relax and feel your best. Anything that can give you the much needed ‘timeout’ or headspace no matter how small is an ideal antidote to stress and muscle tension caused by everyday work and living.
As the session is tailored to your needs, you may combine 30 mins of one therapy with 30 mins of a second therapy within your hour treatment.
You will be asked to fill out a consultation form regarding contact details, allergies, and brief medical history.
Depending on the therapy you chose you may be required to remove some items of clothing. You will be covered with towels to keep your modesty.
