Thermal Auricular Therapy (ear candling)

Thermal Auricular Therapy, also known as ear candling, is a complementary therapy that may help with conditions connected to the ears, nose and throat.

​The candles are made from cotton and dipped in beeswax, the candles are then impregnated with honey, sage and camomile, chosen for their health benefits and relaxation properties.

​The candles are inserted into the ear, the candle is then lit creating a gentle vacuum of warm air enabling the herbs and honey vapours to be drawn into the ear canal, the warm gentle vibration may help to loosen ear wax and open the eustachian tubes, the antiseptic calming effect of essential oils and honey can be beneficial in aiding the symptoms associated with the above conditions.

​Thermal Auricular Therapy starts with foot reflexology, targeting specific reflexes of the lymphatic system, followed by the candles and finishing with lymphatic facial reflexology, encouraging the drainage of released fluid.
