Petra studied Craniosacral therapy in London under Thomas Attlee at the College of Craniosacral Therapy, the oldest and most established college in the UK.
Her interest in Craniosacral therapy (CST) evolved from her work as a midwife and recognition of how pregnancy and the birth process can affect the health and wellbeing of mothers and babies. Birth trauma & the effects of childhood illnesses can remain in our body unresolved for many many years
Whilst studying Petra treated clients from all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. She would like to use her knowledge & skills to support you.

Experience:

Petra has over 20 years experience as a midwife. She has worked both in here and in Australia.
She worked as a midwife at her local NHS Trust and was the infant feeding lead for 8 years before leaving to set up in private practice five years ago.
She qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2013 & was reaccredited in 2018. Her wealth of knowledge & expertise allows her to support families in all aspects of breastfeeding. This may include supporting families in the early days who require 1:1 support to establish breastfeeding , or families with more complex issues requiring specialised feeding support.
Her private tongue tie division service is available for babies up to 9 months of age regardless of feeding method. Parents can self refer for a thorough feeding review and assessment of their baby’s tongue function. A tongue tie division service is also available where necessary. Petra offers a prompt reliable service with clinics here and in Northamptonshire. She aims to see parents within 48hrs of contact.
Her extensive work with mothers & young babies has shown her first hand the effects the birth process and tongue tie can have on a baby’s ability to feed effectively. Petra is a CranioSacral Therapist and offers treatments to babies to help resolve feeding difficulties. (See separate profile)
Petra offers both clinics and a home visit service for all of the above. Parents can self refer.
