We have a professional and friendly team of podiatrists all with over 10 years of experience. They are all registered members of the ‘Health Professions Council’ and ‘The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists’ and comply with all their regulations. All are fully insured.

Treatments offered

• Routine chiropody:

All problem nails, verrucas, skin/nail infections, hard/dry cracked skin, callous/corns, general maintenance, foot checks, wounds & skin problems

• Cryotherapy (verrucae freezing)
• In growing nails- Local anaesthetic available
• Sports injuries

Biomechanical Assessment (prescription Orthotics or insoles)

This is a means of assessing how well the mechanics of your feet and legs are working. We check that muscles, ligaments, joints and nerve sensation are appropriate and explain where their function may not be.

Recommended for:

Arch pain in the foot, heel pain or discomfort around the ball of the foot. It may also be useful for lower back, knee and groin pain, in fact, any pain in the lower limb or feet. Sometimes the foot may need some help in the form of an orthotic device (insole) to be worn in your footwear. These are made available to suit all budgets and may only be required for a temporary amount of time to see an improvement in your pain.

Foot pain is NOT normal! It’s a sign that something is not quite right. In most cases, it can be treated in a very conservative manner.

What Is A Chiropodist/Podiatrist?

A Chiropodist or Podiatrist (Podiatrist is the internationally recognised name) is someone who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of foot conditions. Since 2005, the title became protected and can only be used by someone registered with the HPC (Health Professions Council) Registration depends on successful completion of a recognised course of training and commitment to continued professional education.
