Working across a variety of neurological settings, I have developed specialist skills in providing rehabilitation to optimise recovery, prevent secondary complications, achieve goals, enable re-integration into community thus empowering and increasing independence. I address difficulties with movement, balance, coordination, and strength, while also managing the long-term effects of neurological injury. I am skilled in managing the physical and psychological impact of neurological disorders, and I work closely with families to provide practical advice and emotional support, ensuring a collaborative approach that allows service users to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
I am currently working as an adult Neuro - Physiotherapist at Northampton General Hospital. Prior to this I was the Team Lead Paediatric Physiotherapist at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Trust, where I provided specialist therapy for children and young people with neurological conditions. A significant part of this role involved writing detailed reports for annual reviews and Education, Health & Care plans, ensuring that children receive appropriate support in educational settings. I have also worked as a Senior Physiotherapist providing community and in-patient therapy for both orthopaedic and neurological conditions gaining valuable experience in rehabilitation of children as well as adults and have worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure collaborative and holistic care.
I enjoy exercising as it helps me stay active. I also love reading and networking as they increase my knowledge and inspire creative thinking.
