Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST), also called craniosacral therapy, is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork that focuses on releasing tension in the craniosacral system — the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
The practitioner uses light touch, often no more than the weight of a twenty pence, to feel for and help release restrictions in the craniosacral rhythm.
The craniosacral system extends from the cranium (skull) to the sacrum (the base of the spine).
CST aims to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, enhance the body’s natural healing processes, and relieve pain and dysfunction.
While evidence is limited and CST is considered alternative or complementary therapy, some people use it for:
Headaches and migraines
Chronic neck and back pain
Stress and tension-related disorders
TMJ syndrome
Fibromyalgia
Infant colic and other pediatric issues
Cost: £45.00 1 Hour
