Irrigation involves the gentle removal of wax using a controlled, low-pressure water jet. This method targets the ear canal wall rather than the blockage itself, minimising the risk of pushing wax deeper and causing discomfort or ear pain.

Manual Removal utilises the steady hands of our trained clinicians, who, guided by a specula, employ a variety of sterile manual wax removal tools. This technique is particularly effective for clearing stubborn and hard-to-remove blockages, ensuring a thorough and safe extraction.

A quick tip: We advise using Earol or pure olive oil drops for 3-5 days before your appointment (unless you’ve had a punctured eardrum). For hearing aid wearers, please only use oils at bedtime after hearing aids have been removed.
